Bird Watching

Jack and Laurie Wolfe of Stoughton enjoy a warm Friday afternoon at D.W. Fields Park in Brockton yesterday. Jack, a nationaly acclaimed Avant-Garde Painter of portraits and Laurie an awareness of the body through spirit instructor spend at least 15 minutes everyday to watch the birds and take in the scenery of the park. "It's always beautiful no matter what kind of day it is. It's good for the spirit," said Laurie when talking about their love for the park.

This couple was so unique. I'm looking forward to meeting up with them again when I check out Jack's studio in the near future.

Sweet 16

So I got to feel like a 16-year-old again when I was invited to a gun club member's daughter sweet 16 party tonight at the Hanson Rod and Gun Club Archery Range. I thought this may be a good angle to my story. Needless to say I had a good time hanging out with the kids and snapping a few pics.

Join the Gun Club

Started a new long-term story on the Hanson Rod and Gun Club as one of my first assignments on my new job here is a rough edit of some of the photos that have kind of stuck out to me so far.

Where's Waldo?

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I've been staying plenty busy with new job, so posting has been kind of difficult to get to. Anyway this was from a basketball game I covered a few days ago. Can't you just feel that roaring excitement over the crowd? I think not.

Renovations

Went out featuring hunting for the paper and found this guy and myself ontop of the roof getting a different angle on things: Jack Manning, a local contractor works on securing the vinyl siding of a home using a nail gun in Avon which is part of a weeklong renovation on the home scheduled to finish by next Wednesday... Chances are I probably shouldn't have been so close to the line of fire...

Shadow of the cross

Driving on my way home from the video store this morning when I noticed this shadow on the side of this office buidling created from the sun hitting a telephone pole.
